Managing Workers’ Compensation Expense & Exposure in Staffing
Human resources are both the product and service staffing firms provide. Disabling injuries to temporary workers affect not only the employee: they limit the firm’s ability to serve its clients, diminishing revenue, while also imposing a substantial financial exposure for increasing insurance experience-modification and higher premium. The COVID-19 pandemic presents an evolving concern to the industry. A panel consisting of a staffing safety expert, an insurance broker, and an attorney will provide an overview on how firms can market their absorption of client financial exposures while minimizing their own.

Thomas Saylor, Regional Safety Manager for Aerotek, will speak to the staffing firm perspective on loss avoidance, DOL’s joint employment rules, and compliance with applicable OSHA/NIOSH standards.
